The Club

Bringing Families Together

The Beacon Hill Club is situated on nine picturesque acres in Summit New Jersey; the site of a Revolutionary War Landmark, and has been enjoyed by area families for over five decades. The focal point of the club is the 27-room Tudor Clubhouse built in 1910 by Carroll P. Basset, founder of the Jersey Central Power and Light Company. Adjoining porches and terraces lead to swimming, tennis, paddle, ice-skating and hockey, season permitting.

Inspired by its founding fathers, Beacon Hill’s blend of social, sporting and educational activity is carefully planned to appeal to all age groups. Sporting activities are available on three levels: social, instructional and competitive, with trained professionals supervising all sports.

We offer formal and informal dining throughout the year in the Clubhouse, with breakfast, lunch and dinner available in the Carriage House from late fall to early spring. The Clubhouse bar is open year round and the adjoining garden terrace is open for dining in the warmer weather. The terrace is often referred to as “the best table in Summit.” In the summer months, beverage and food service is also available on the terrace adjoining the pool.

The Beacon Hill social calendar is filled with fun events for adults, children, teens and the family as a whole. Our gatherings range from informal to formal.
